Special craft-making sessions, ceramic painting, “wine and canvas” events and pajama parties are among the activities that will be offered at Jellystone Park locations over Mother’s Day weekend.
“Mother’s Day is always a big weekend for us because of our focus on fun family activities that help families strengthen their bonds with one another,” said Trent Hershenson, vice president of marketing for Leisure Systems, Inc., which franchises more than 75 Jellystone Park locations across the U.S. and Canada.
Activities range from classes that give kids a chance to make a special craft for their moms to scavenger hunts, and special activities just for moms, who also receive a free gift when they spend Mother’s Day weekend at a Jellystone Park location.
Here’s a sampling of some of the Mother’s Day weekend activities planned at Jellystone Park locations across the U.S.:
— Bloomington, Indiana: This park is planning a Mother’s Day weekend pajama party. Bring your favorite PJs for the Saturday night dance party. As a special gift to Mom, the park will have a photographer doing family portraits on Mother Day’s free of charge. https://lakemonroejellystone.com
— Caledonia, Wisconsin: This park will host Cindy Bear’s Princess Party over Mother’s Day weekend. Cindy Bear absolutely loves fairy tales so for her birthday, this location will be celebrating just the way she wants! — South Haven, Michigan: This park will host its sixth annual “Wine & Canvas” event for moms on Saturday. Kids will also be able to send Mom a Bear Gram on Sunday. There will also be a raffle to win a Mother’s Day Basket, which includes a Bear Gram. — Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin: Mother’s Day weekend activities at this park include helping Mom put together a flower and butterfly garden. Paint a flower pot, watering can or let your creative skills come out and make a terra cotta bird bath. Moms will also be able to play miniature golf for free and enjoy 50 percent off resort amenities, including boat rentals and golf carts.
