KZ Durango Half-Ton Towable Fifth Wheel: Luxury at a Value Price

KZ recently debuted the all-new Durango Half-Ton, designed for luxury fifth-wheeling with a smaller footprint. The mid-profile Half-Ton is lightweight and compact, but also loaded with luxury standards at a very nice price point,” said Brent Froman, general manager. “All seven floorplans are under 12,000 pounds GVWR, for towing with almost any truck.

Lifestyle perks are a huge draw. The standard Towing Package with two-inch receiving hitch, 4-pin wire harness, 300-pound hitch rating and 3000-pound tow rating lets you tow your favorite fishing boat, or a trailer with motorized toys. And the end of summer doesn’t necessarily mean the end of camping extend the season with Half-Ton’s standard Climate Package, which keeps tanks and pipes safely tucked away in the heated, insulated and enclosed underbelly.

“All these upgrades really set Half-Ton apart  our competitors typically don’t offer these features at this price point,” said Froman. “The 5/8 inch tongue-and-groove plywood flooring construction is a step up from OSB, and the partially-painted front cap is a high-end aesthetic.” Interior upgrades include maple-glazed hardwood slideout fascia, an under-mount stainless steel kitchen sink and LED TV with multimedia stereoand DVD. All floorplans, including the D256RKT, shown, include an upgraded tri-fold hide-a-bed.
